Information on REACH

REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. The regulation came into force across the EU on June 1, 2007, but the provisions of REACH will take effect gradually.

Hörle Wire AB certifies that we have understood our commitment concerning the REACH regulation. This means in essence that we are a so-called downstream user.*

Hörle Wire AB must not and can not take responsibility for pre-registration or to register chemical substances to the ECHA (European Chemical Agancy). However, we are obliged to seek and provide information in the supply chain. In order to provide accurate and relevant information concerning our products, we need to know if our products are used for other applications than its intended purpose.

We will ensure that all our products only contain substances that are pre-registered and any future registration requirements of REACH.

Time for pre-registration is between June 1 until December 1, 2008. Additional registrations are dependent on the quantity and rating in November 2010, May 2013 and May 2018.

We expect all our suppliers to understand and follow the requirements by the REACH regulation.

* Our manufacturing process creates waste. The waste is used for another purpose which means that Hörle Wire AB is classified as manufacturer of a chemical substance. In this case, Hörle Wire AB pre-registered this topic.
